Premiere for the Main FlussFilmFest
In 2023, from March 14th to 26th, a FlussFilmFest will take place on the Main for the first time, not just in one city, but in several cinemas from the source along the river. This makes it clear - according to the cooperation partner Netzwerk Main - that the Main connects people over 500 kilometers and that it is their shared responsibility. In the cities of Bayreuth, Lichtenfels, Bamberg, Zell am Main, Schweinfurt, Kitzingen, Würzburg, Karlstadt, Gemünden am Main, Marktheidenfeld, Miltenberg, Aschaffenburg, Offenbach and Frankfurt am Main there are partner cinemas that take part with various film evenings or matinees.
MainCleanUp is part of the supporting program. The garbage collection campaign offers numerous CleanUps along the Main from March 11th to April 2nd. Group and individual registrations are possible via this website. The organization will kick off on March 11th in Marktheidenfeld.
